COBRA LINK:

We will be playing the Costume Party from the Hack-O-Lantern (https://alwaysberunning.net/tournaments/5163/hack-o-lantern-vi-back-2-tha-root) tournaments COMBINED with the Throwback format! Here’s how to build your decks:

1. For each of your decks, choose any ID from the game's history
Minus Discontinued Costumes and identities banned in Standard.
2. Build your deck as if the chosen ID is in a different main faction on its side (Anarch, Criminal, Shaper, HB, Jinteki, NBN, Weyland).
3. Use the Standard cardpool and Standard Ban List!
4. This is the Throwback part: you may choose ONE playset of rotated cards to include in your deck. You have to pay influence for it if it is outside your chosen faction, like usual. These cards must not have been banned at the time they rotated.

Special deckbuilding rules for minifaction costumes:

• You have access to all cards from your costume's minifaction, even rotated ones (but you spend influence to import them as usual). THESE DO NOT COUNT AGAINST YOUR THROWBACK CARD.
• Adam has to spend influence for his 3 starting directives. Think of it like they have 16 influence

Registration

Entry fee is $15 paid to the organizer, which will cover you for both nights. Cash at the event or venmo to @jzhanson.

Logistics

Thinking of coming but haven’t had a chance to test your deck? Don’t worry! Minor deck changes are allowed between rounds!

If you realize that your deck doesn’t have enough econ, or doesn’t have multiaccess, that’s fine! Nobody wants to be stuck playing a deck with major, easily fixable flaws. Minor deck changes are allowed between rounds, but you must play the same costume identity and faction.

This is a Casual level event. Decklists not required.

We will play 2 rounds of Double Sided Swiss each night.

Each round will be 70 minutes. We will start between 6 pm and 6:30, and aim to finish between 9 and 9:30 pm.

Costume contest

At the end of the event, we will vote for best Runner costume (deck) and best Corp costume (deck), and the winner in each category will take home an extra draft of alt arts from Worlds 2026!

Publishing your decklist to NRDB

Select The Masque: Cyber General for runners or The Shadow: Pulling the Strings as your identity. You should then be able to put whatever cards you want in that decklist.

Prizing

Participation: Draft TWO playsets of alt arts from Worlds 2026.
Lowest undropped finisher: Prize from the ~prize chest~.
Top 1: TBD (will be a playmat)

Venue

This event will take place at the Game Kastle Santa Clara, 1350 Coleman Ave, Santa Clara, CA, 95050. There is usually enough parking before in their parking lot, but you can always park along some side streets. The venue is a 10 minute walk from the Santa Clara Caltrain station.

Outside food is permitted. Game Kastle Santa Clara also sells some snacks, drinks, and instant noodles. There's fast food and other fast casual food within walking distance.
