So what on earth is Kick/Flip? Simple, it is the answer to the question "What if every ID could be flipped?" Here's how it works:
1) Randomly get a pair of IDs from different factions. There are links to randomizers below for convenience. IDs with start of game abilities, on score or steal abilities, and IDs which already flip are excluded.
2) Put those IDs back to back. This is now a flip ID! You will flip your ID when you have fully resolved text on that ID.
3) Build a deck using the standard card pool. The deck size is determined by which ever ID you decided to start on. You may use cards (including agendas) from each of the factions that make up your flip ID, along with neutral cards. All decks have a maximum of three influence that can be spent on neutral cards, and corporations may have a set of Spin Doctors for free.
4) Play some games! The purpose of this format is to encourage ideas outside of the meta, so try some things and see how it goes.
What about this specific tournament?
This is a casual event that will take place on Jinteki. There is no entry fee! We will be using Cobra.
To play with this format on Jinteki, please build your deck using the casual tag and the ID you are going to start on. Jinteki will say that your deck is casual illegal, but that is okay; you will still be able to play in casual games. To flip your ID, use the command /replace-id n, where n is the name of the ID you are flipping to.
The goal of this tournament is to try out as many different ID combinations and have fun. Please report your ID combinations here. Rerolls may be offered if there are too many of the same faction combinations.
Determine your Runner and Corp faction combinations here. Once you have your faction combination, use these to determine which IDs you will be using.
