Welcome back, it's great to see you again. We're going to be doing a Toronto Megacity just like we've done in previous years: we'll have unique prizes, we'll have unique activities, we'll try and fail to go out for karaoke afterwards.
We'll start things off Saturday with a full day of swiss to determine our top cut. Then, on Sunday, we'll run that top cut, along with other fun diversions: a cube, a side-tournament, board games, whatever! Maybe I'll even bring my PS5 with Street Fighter VI again. We'll have also have a snacks and a special lunch on offer so we've got your nourishment covered (vegan and gluten-free options available!).
This year, the Megacity will be held in the underground pathways that snake beneath Toronto's downtown, the PATH. UPDATE: We will now be holding the tournament in the same venue as the previous two years, Hiscocks Hall beneath the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene! Please enter the Hall through the door on Ulster St.
We've also got some special prizing, as always, including a unique End of the Line alt art by Toronto's own Scott Uminga!
We'll also have some other special alt arts on offer, including new offerings from Nicky Cheng and a certain Egg inspired by an activity from last year's Megacity.
The cost of the event will be $50 and will include the basic Megacity prizes along with a full playset of the End of the Line alt art we commissioned specially for this event. A few more prizes will also undoubtedly find their way into your hands... Tickets will be available on-site and can be paid with cash or e-transfer (though it certainly makes things easier if you have cash..!).
We put a ton of work into this tournament every year and it is, in my completely unbiased opinion, always a blast! So we really hope you make it out.
This event is also appropriate for players of all skill levels and printed proxies are completely acceptable, so we encourage everyone to come out and play! It'll be a great weekend and maybe... maybe we'll even do karaoke. Please visit the Torsaug Discord and come say hi! We're excited to host you all in our fair city.
