A wise fictional character once said "to go north, you must journey south. To reach the west, you must go east." What does this mean? It means you must travel to the North Carolina District Championship in the southeast United States!
Schedule:
10 am: Doors open
10:45 am: Player meeting
11 am: Round 1 begins
After round 3: Lunch break
There will likely be six rounds of single-sided swiss (although this depends on attendance), followed by a cut to top 4 if we reach 16 people.
The format is standard. Vantage Point and the newest banlist will be legal!
Decklists will be required; I will provide sheets to fill these out on, however we plan to start promptly at 11 am so either arrive with enough time to write lists, print them out beforehand, or submit them beforehand on Cobra.
Prizing:
Winner: Bye for any 2026 Megacity Championship, invitation to the 2027 Circuit Breaker Invitational Championship, and a very cool prize that will be announced when ready
Top 4: Scrounge playmat
Top 8: Raindrops Cut Stone alt art
Top 24: Fully Operational alt art
6 playsets of a Mavirus alt art will be raffled off to players after the Swiss rounds are finished
All participants will receive an additional alt art specific to this event that will be announced along with the extra prize for the winner in the coming months
Cost of a ticket is $15 before March 22nd, and $20 thereafter- register at Atomic Empire.
