Registration

Entry fee is $20 paid to the organizer. Cash at the event or venmo to @jzhanson.

You can pre-register yourself at the Aesop’s Tables event (https://www.aesopstables.net/7815/standings) or this Always Be Running event.

Logistics

We will use the new August banlist if it is active at the time of this tournament.

This is a Casual level event. Decklists not required.

If we have < 16 players, we will play 6 rounds of Single Sided Swiss. If we have > 16 players, we will play 6 rounds of Single Sided Swiss with a Top 4 cut.

Each round will be 40 minutes. We will aim to wrap up Swiss around 4 pm. and the Top Cut by 6 pm.

Registration opens at 10:00 am and games begin at 10:30 am. There will be a 40 minute lunch break after round 2.

Prizing

Participation: Pivot alt art, Measured Response alt art, and End of the Line alt art by Zhansonic.
Top 8: Draft an old alt art
Top 4: Laser cut wood “Boomer Aang” token
Top 1: Prize from the ~prize chest~.

It is possible that the 2025 Q3 GNK will be part of prizing.

Venue

This event will take place at the Game Kastle Santa Clara, 1350 Coleman Ave, Santa Clara, CA, 95050. There is usually enough parking before in their parking lot, but you can always park along some side streets. The venue is a 10 minute walk from the Santa Clara Caltrain station.

Outside food is permitted. Game Kastle Santa Clara also sells some snacks, drinks, and instant noodles. There's fast food and other fast casual food within walking distance.
