🌅A new set and a visit from Netrunner royalty!👑

Two-time world champ Sokka and his partner in crimes against the meta Brandon “the king” are leaving their native Canadian shores and embarking on a Summer Eurotrip. As luck would have it, the weekend of Elevation’s release will find them in Birkenhead of all places, ready to impart their new-set hot-takes on the unsuspecting denizens of the true powerhouse of the UK meta: Merseyside. (Norwich? Where’s that? Somewhere in France I think..)

So come down for a casual evening of figuring out what your cards do, with no pressure because you’re never gonna beat the world champ anyway! 😆

Logistics:
We’ll take a straw poll at the start as to whether we actually want to do tournament pairings GNK style, or just an evening of casual play and deckbuilding with the new cards.
I will be printing at least a couple of full sets of Elevation proxies and will have lots of magic commons for backs, so don’t worry if you’ve not got the new cards or had time to deckbuild. Just take all your ffg cards out of existing decks and bring them along, we’ll see what we can bodge together on the night, everyone will be in the same boat!

The Cafe kitchen closes at 4, which is when I’ll be free, and is when I’ve set the official start time, but feel free to come earlier and hang out, especially if you want to grab some brain fuel beforehand!

For people who might want to travel from further afield, my usual event spiel:

Indigo is a neighbourhood cafe and events venue in Birkenhead. We are quickly and easily accessible from the centre of Liverpool, with trains running from Lime St and other central stations every 15 mins, arriving at Rock Ferry station just 3 mins up the road. For drivers, there is a free car park at the back of the venue (accessible from New Chester Road).

Indigo's food offering will be available beforehand including all day breakfast, sandwiches, soups and more (with veggie and vegan options available) and we have a range of soft drinks as well as a fully licensed bar. We also have a well stocked board game cupboard, should you wish to hang out either before or after the event!

Unfortunately due to the venue space being located above the cafe, we will not be able to offer step-free access. All bathrooms are gender neutral.
