Greetings from the SanSan North South Bay meetup! We're running a free super-casual tournament during our weekly meetup on Monday, April 14th at 6 pm in the Standard format. Everyone is welcome, even (especially!) if you've never played in a tournament before. This is a great chance to familiarize yourself with tournament rules, timing, and etiquette.
This is a great chance to give the decks and cards you've loved one last ride before they rotate out of the Standard format. No deck is too jank!
Registration

Logistics
This event will take place at the Game Kastle Santa Clara, 1350 Coleman Ave, Santa Clara, CA, 95050. There is usually enough parking before and around 6 pm in their parking lot, but it fills up quickly from 6 pm - 6:30 pm. The venue is a 10 minute walk from the Santa Clara Caltrain station.
Arrive around 6 pm, and we will try to start our first rounds at 6:15 pm. The game store closes at 10 pm, so we will not go later than that. DM me on discord (zhansonic) or email me if you are running late. Late arrivals are OK, but still register if you can - we will just put you in the next round after you arrive.
Depending on the number of players, we will play 3-4 rounds of Single-Sided Swiss, with rounds lasting 40 minutes each. There will be no top cut. Decklists not required.
There is no entry fee. Come down and play!
Prizes will be an "alt-art draft", where alt art cards donated by players will be drafted. First place will draft first, then second place, and so on. There may be other mystery prizes depending on whether the organizer can finish them in time. :P
This event is happening during our regular Monday night meetup. Feel free to come down and say hi, or spectate - though we encourage you to play in the tournament. It's free, after all.
