Welcome all to the inaugural Nordic Megacity Championship! Hopefully the first of many!
The event will take place at Alphabar (a part of the Alphaspel gaming store) in Stockholm, on the 19th and 20th of July.
Schedule
Saturday 19th: Registration at 10:00, swiss rounds at 11:00
Sunday 20th: Top cut at 10:00, eternal side event at 11:00
Format
Standard main event: Single-sided swiss, with likely 6 rounds (may change with number of players) and cut to top 4.
Eternal side event: 5-6 rounds of single-sided swiss
The main event will use the 25.04 Standard Ban List.
The side event will use the 25.04 Eternal Point List.
Both standard and eternal are imminently expected to receive new ban- and points lists. These will not be used as they do not become legal for competitive play until the end of July.
Decklists
Decklists are mandatory, to be submitted on registration. Physical are greatly preferred, use one of the downloadable versions on the NSG site or the "Export Tournament Sheet" feature on netrunnerdb.
Price
Admission fee will be 300 SEK to cover prizes and venue, to be paid on registration at the event. Preferably by Swish, but we'll accept cash and Paypal also.
Good to know
The venue has a kitchen and serves some simpler foods, mainly burgers. There's also pizza and thai places nearby, and various others.
We will have an opportunity to preorder lunch at the venue at registration time. This simplifies the kitchen logistics a lot, please do this if you intend to eat at the venue!
Be aware: Eating food or drinking alcohol you've brought yourself is not allowed inside the venue.
The venue serves alcoholic beverages and allows you to bring them to the gaming tables. We will, however, strongly suggest that you refrain from bringing uncovered drinks of any kind to the tournament tables themselves.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to the TO (Johannes Isaksson - "postis") by email or in any of the usual community spaces (stimslack, GLC, Netrunner Event Hub). You can also feel free to join the Swedish community discord if you want to chitchat, get travel/accommodation advice, etc.
